For most sessions, you will need to connect to both specific video/voice channels in the Bootcamp Server and the Instructional Zoom Webinar at the same time.
<aside> These toggles provide guidance on how we recommend you setup your ‘digital environment’ so that you can effectively and efficiently engage in each and every bootcamp session.
Whenever possible, we strongly recommend you use option (2) or (3). Whatever your situation, we recommend you read (1) first, as it is the most comprehensive description of what you can expect.
<aside> ℹ️ How to think about the role of each platform in the Bootcamp Sessions
The Bootcamp Server is where you interact with fellow students and teaching team, exactly like you would if you were seated at seminar or workshop tables (and you can ‘call’ teaching team over with messages at any time). **
The instructional Zoom Webinar is the same as the instructor standing at the front of the room providing guidance to you and your group throughout the seminar or workshop.
Note → To make the most of your learning experience, please plan to keep your video ON in your Discord team channels—especially while engaging with your teammates during the Bootcamp.

In some cases, the WiFi network you are on may be behind an institutional or area based firewall –– and occasionally, those firewalls may prevent connecting to some of the systems used in this Bootcamp.
Because this program is both educational and secure, in cases where firewalls limit your ability to access Bootcamp resources, participants are generally free to use VPN connections to connect to the Bootcamp platforms. More specifically, there no policy or legal barriers that we know of that prohibit participants from any of our partner institutions or companies from using VPN services for the explicit purpose of engaging in this Bootcamp.
If you have trouble accessing any Bootcamp resources (the most likely being problems connecting to voice-video channels on the Bootcamp Discord Server) then below are guides and resources to support you using a VPN service.
