In order to access to the Bootcamp Server you will need to have already linked your Discord account to your How to Change the World account.

Once you link your Discord account, you should be added to the Bootcamp Server within 24 hours. If you have any problems, please email [email protected].

<aside> 🗺️ Instructions for setting up Discord

**This article will walk you through steps 1 & 2.**

  1. Download and install the Discord App for your computer.
  2. Sign-in to (or create) your Discord account.
  3. Be sure to link your Discord account with your How to Change the World account → when you sign in to your How to Change the World account you will find instructions on how to do this. </aside>

<aside> 🗺️ What should you use the Bootcamp Server for?

The Bootcamp Server (in Discord) will be the main communications platform for the Bootcamp.

Synchronous Bootcamp Workshop Sessions & Teaching Team Meetings

Workshops → During every interactive Workshop, students will meet with their teammates in their assigned 🔈Team X-y voice & video channel, which will be found under COHORT X TEAMS on the Bootcamp Server.

Teaching Team Check-ins (and ad hoc meetings with the Teaching Team) → During Bootcamp sessions when you have “Teaching Team Check-ins” a member of your Cohort Teaching Team will meet you in your 🔈Team X-y voice & video channel. Similarly, if you arrange to have an ad hoc support meeting with a member of the Teaching Team, they will meet you in your 🔈Team X-y voice & video channel.

Asynchronous Q&A, Responding to Polls, and Peer Group Messaging

Q&A Forum → You can ask, and will receive answers to any questions you have about the bootcamp in the #question-and-answer-forum within the BOOTCAMP DISCUSSION BOARD.
